Optimal outdoor court lighting - Talk Tennis

The local city park is up for review next year, and tennis facility/club in the park has a four adjacent court layout but the lights are awful for competitive night play, even poor for recreational play. Apart from updating the quality of the lights themselves however, I'm wondering about optimal design theories/ideas as pertains to best placement of lights (ie. post placements, heights, number, brightness, angles, types, etc.).
Another factor to consider is the Color Temperature for tennis court lighting. A color temp of K to K is generally advised. K is considered “cool white”. For me, K is a bit more yellow than I care for. Too much yellow light when using optic yellow balls might not be ideal for many players. It could result in eye strain for some. K is more of a “blue white”. (Note that gem lights in jewelry stores is in the -K range).

For me, K is fine but a few players might be a a bit sensitive to the stronger blue. They may find it a bit tiring after a couple of hours.

I would consider -K to be an ideal range for many players. This range is often referred to as “daylight” because it best approximates natural midday sunlight. I would suggest that -K might be ok for most.

CRI (Color Rendering Index) might be another factor worthy of consideration— but perhaps not quite as important as Color Temperature for. A CRI of 100 is perfect but anything higher than 85 or 90 probably should be ok.
