I am interested in buying large quantities of golf carts where the lease is up from golf courses and want to know how to do this. I am sure some people here do this and any information to help me get started would be much appreciated. A few major questions below.

1. Is there a dealer license required and what type of license is it? Auto sales, ATV/ORV etc.

2. How to get connect with Club Car to become a dealer or reseller?

3. Do these carts come directly from the golf courses or the manufacturer?

Thanks for your help. Happy Carting

Each manufacture has requirements for their dealers on everything from store frontage to inventory. So be prepared to overwhelmed.

A better way to get started may be to contact all the dealers in your neck of the woods and ask if they are willing to sell you 10-20 lease returns at a time and for how much

My local dealers do this for anyone wanting to resell carts. Good Luck

Do Golf Carts Hold Their Value?

Yes, golf carts generally hold their value well, especially from trusted brands like E-Z-GO, Yamaha, or Club Car.

Newer models or those with high-demand features, such as electric options, tend to retain their value longer.

Well-maintained used gas golf carts can still fetch a reasonable price, especially if they have low mileage and are in good condition.

Regular maintenance, battery replacements, and upgrades can help preserve their value.

However, like any vehicle, depreciation is inevitable, and prices will drop over time.

What Factors Influence Golf Cart Prices?

Understanding how much you should spend on a golf cart depends on several key factors:

Type Of Golf Cart

Prices vary between electric and gas-powered carts.

Electric models tend to be cheaper upfront but may require battery replacements.

Gas golf cart prices can be higher but offer longer driving ranges.

Brand And Manufacturer

Well-known brands like E-Z-GO, Yamaha, and Club Car typically charge more.

These brands are trusted for quality, reliability, and long-term support. Lesser-known brands may offer cheaper alternatives.

New Vs. Used

Used gas golf carts offer savings, but their condition and maintenance history can impact the final price.

Customization And Add-Ons

Adding features like upgraded seats, larger tires, or custom paint jobs increases the price.

Specialized carts with luxury or utility upgrades can significantly boost the overall cost.

Passenger Capacity

A cart with more seats, like a 4-seater or 6-seater, will cost more.

Larger carts are often designed for recreational or commercial use, raising the price.

Where You Buy

Dealership prices may be higher, but warranties and customer service are offered.

Buying from an online marketplace or at auctions could save money but comes with fewer protections.
